TheraBand Pro Foam Roller
To Relieve and Prevent Muscle Soreness
Exercise fatigues the body, often causing discomfort, pain, and inflammation. The TheraBand Pro Foam Roller aims to prevent soreness and enhance recovery after an intense workout. The Foam Roller is the perfect tool for a hands-free massage of tired, sore muscles.
Self-Myofascial Release
Many people look to massage therapists to assist in myofascial release, a therapeutic post-exercise technique for muscle recovery. Research has shown that using a foam roller for self-myofascial release is similar to myofascial relief performed by a massage therapist. Use the TheraBand Pro Foam Roller for post-exercise recovery on days when you don't have the time or money for a massage.
Use the TheraBand Pro Foam Roller to:
- Correct muscular imbalances
- Alleviate muscle soreness
- Relieve joint stress
- Improve neuromuscular efficiency
- Improve range of motion
What is Foam Rolling?
Foam rolling is used as a warm-up, recovery, and maintenance technique that targets soft-tissue to improve joint range of motion and optimize muscular function. Research has shown that even just 2 minutes of foam rolling with the TheraBand Pro Foam Roller enhances range of motion in the same way as static stretching without prohibiting functional movement. This means foam rolling can be incorporated into a warm-up to engage muscles without tightening them. It can also be used as a post-workout recovery tool to prevent muscle soreness and relieve stress on joints.
Simple and Effective
The TheraBand Pro Foam Roller is the ideal tool for athletes seeking a recovery option that is affordable, easy to perform, and time efficient.
Size Options
The TheraBand Pro Foam Roller is 6 inches in diameter and comes in two lengths. Choose the 36-inch Foam Roller for full-body use, or choose the 12-inch Foam Roller for targeted relief and increased portability. A six-inch half round is also available in the 36-inch length.
The TheraBand Pro Foam Roller can be used as a standalone device, but for customized and progressive relief, TheraBand Foam Roller Wraps+ can easily be attached to extend product life and help maintain roller form.
Thoracic Release
Begin by sitting in front of the TheraBand Pro Foam Roller. Gently lean back to rest shoulder blades across the horizontal Roller, head remaining in neutral alignment and cradled in lightly laced fingers, heels anchored on the floor. Begin breath-work – deep stomach inhalations followed by full exhalations. On each exhalation, progressively allow upper body to fold backwards over the Roller to mobilize the thoracic spine and open up the chest. This release is not achieved through a rolling motion, but rather through the progressive relaxation of breath-work. Control the pressure through controlling the amount of weight on the Roller.
